Stripes will never, ever go out of style. They're a necessity, a must-have, and the biggest print that keeps on giving, year after year. At New York Fashion Week, two editors were spotted wearing striped separates. The first shot from Sarah Rutson shows a simple black longline blazer, black top, and striped pants. The second street style star wore a crisscross cropped black top paired with a striped midi skirt, and black heeled sandals.

Metallics have been seen adorning heeled ankle boots, crossbody bags, and even dresses but now they're finding a new home: pants. While this trend may seem impossible to wear in real life, the statement piece can actually be pulled off by keeping the rest of the look pretty simple. Just look at this outfit from French style muse Caroline de Maigret.  She paired her metallic gold trousers with basic tones to avoid looking like a walking Las Vegas casino. A simple white button-down and white sneakers will suffice.

Finding inspiration from the New York Fashion Week collections is beyond exciting, but the street style is truly what we look forward to for outfit ideas. This babe was snapped combining a masculine piece with a feminine skirt. She wore a plaid (and pink!) blazer, gray turtleneck, and a gray side-slit mini skirt. Add in some edgier details with the help of sheer black tights and a pair of combat boots and voila!
